Gerber National Glass Services

Gerber National Glass Services is the oldest vehicle glass repair and replacement network in the U.S. GNGS is comprised of over three thousand independently-owned glass repair and replacement businesses across the U.S., and became part of The Boyd Group in 2005.

Founded in 1971, Gerber National Glass Services ("GNGS"), formerly The Globe Amerada Glass Network, is America's oldest vehicle glass repair and replacement network. Acquired by The Gerber Group, Inc. in January 2005, GNGS now leverages the strengths of the combined entities.

Currently our Vehicle Glass Replacement Network is comprised of over six thousand, highly motivated, independently owned members. Complementing these independent businesses is our Repair Only Network established in 1994, as well as a recently launched call center partnership with LYNX Services.

Highlighted below are some specific and rather unique accomplishments of our leadership team:

• Negotiated and captured the largest single vendor aftermarket vehicle glass repair and replacement contract (over $140 million per year)
• Negotiated and implemented the longest continuous single vendor/insurer contract (ten years)
• Implemented vehicle glass repair/replacement programs with almost every major insurer
• Established and managed over $500 million in annual aftermarket glass sales
• Participated as part of the executive management team that, at one time, managed the largest national aftermarket glass repair/replacement organization
• Negotiated and contracted with most national and regional aftermarket glass distributors and/or manufacturers
• As a member of CEICA, assisted with the development of current glass EDI standards
• Helped to reduce insurance company glass operation expenses by as much as ninety percent
